My stock spring had zero tension left. So bless their hearts, maybe the parts aren't grenading inside the motor, but it is not yet satisfactory. ... The new OEM doo is much better but it does not fit on the shaft a tightly as Mike's does. My recommendation: Change the doo and the spring (use the torsion version) on YOUR KLR.
