Web23 sep. 2024 · Maybe this will help others who have problems with websockets on iOS 15. Short summary: Open the Settings app. Scroll down and tap on “Safari”. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on “Advanced”. Tap on “Experimental Features” at the bottom. Scroll down until you see “NSURLSession WebSocket”. Disable “NSURLSession WebSocket”. WebOn desktop browsers and Android devices everything works fine, but on iOS the connection quite often "hangs", meaning the browser doesn't respond to messages received on the websocket connection. The websocket's "onmessage" handler doesn't get fired.
